With the good weather of summer officially gone, we head into fall with nothing but our memories and IG posts. As you go through track after track to find songs that make us think of warmer and happier times, consider adding Corey Ellis and his debut single “Beast Mode” to that playlist.
Originally from Augusta, Maine but based out of Bangor, Ellis is a hip-hop artist who uses his real life experiences to make music that stands out from the crowd. At 21, he has already managed to gain a following across the United States and has established a movement called Kids Up North to provide a voice to those without one and spread positive messages.
“Beast Mode” featuring Javi was produced by Legion Beats and written by both Ellis and Javi in an attempt to create a summer atmosphere which is highlighted in the Zachary Greaton-directed video.
The 3-minute video, showing Ellis and Javi at the beach with friends and red solo cups recalls youth and summer living, and it makes “Beast Mode” that enjoyable track to bump to when you’re thinking back to Summer 16.
With his music stretching from aggressive gritty hip-hop to songs about that girl you think is cute, Ellis has something for everyone which makes him, and his music, relatable.
