Dej Loaf is trying to make us put our “Phone Down” in her new mixtape.
Loaf’s “DeJMix” features her interpretation Of Erykah Badu‘s “Phone Down” off her 2015 Mixtape But You Cain’t Use My Phone.
Her unique tone and style adds flare to the sultry soul feel of Badu’s mix. The Detroit rapper talks about social media briefly in the mix making references to different social media platforms, repetitively saying she can make you “Put Your Phone Down”.
In the song she spits bars, that’s for sure. Loaf recites:
“He Ain’t Gon Never Regret it, He didn’t put his phone down
Oh ya I got his attention and he didn’t even pull his pants down”
You can Listen to Badu’s original version below.
