From her Lil’ Kim performance at the VH1 Hip Honors to her new role in Kanye West‘s video for “FADE”, Teyana Taylor‘s career has definitely spiked in the media this summer and she is killing it right now. The world cannot get enough of her and her adorable family. The artist is engaged to Cavaliers forward Iman Shumpert and the couple has a beautiful daughter nicknamed “Junie,” who can also be seen in the “FADE” video amongst a herd of sheep.
When asked about how her involvement came to be in her interview with Vogue, Taylor explained that she was in the studio adjacent to Kanye’s, and he came by because he wanted to congratulate her for her Lil’ Kim tribute, and, shortly after, he reached out again to ask her to be in the video.
Also, for everyone still wondering about the scene with her in a cat face and the sheep, Teyana says it’s actually very deep; it’ll require maybe 15 or 20 more views of the whole video to really grasp the symbolism and deeper meaning behind it all.
