Meet Leila Dey!
The Jamaica born 26-year old singer is a hidden Toronto Gem.
A vocal beast, her singing talents started at a very early age; music being something she has been doing for as long as she could remember. Born in a family of musicians it was no shock that Dey started taking music seriously at age 15.
Having collaborated with artists such as Vybz Kartel , Joel Ortiz and Luu Breeze, Dey is no stranger to the Toronto music scene.
Dey recently released a new track called “Vibe” on her Soundcloud featuring Hakeem.
When asked about the song inspiration Dey told listeners:
‘VIBE /vīb/ noun: a person’s emotional state or the atmosphere of a place as communicated to and felt by others.
“A vibe should be protected, especially when it’s the one you want to be in. It’s the environment you create for yourself to exist in. It’s yours. And yet without reason at all, some people come along and want to ruin it. Don’t let them.”
