Surely there is no better feeling for a music artist than knowing that your fans got your back 1000% and want to see you prosper. Over the weekend, Zeinab Najm over at TeamKanyeDaily created the hashtag #KanyeWestForSuperBowl51 with hopes of persuading Pepsi and the NFL to book Kanye West for the halftime show at next year’s game. Of course, Kanye West is no stranger to putting on iconic performances, so a Kanye West halftime performance would definitely be epic. Despite his past struggles to shake off controversy when it comes to Taylor Swift, his wife Kim, or run-ins with the paparazzi, Yeezy’s talent and work ethic is hands down undeniable. In this case, it would only be fair that the NFL separated the man from the music.
Super Bowl LI is set to take place in Houston, TX on February 5, 2017. Last week it was reported that Adele declined an offer from the NFL to perform during halftime, however earlier today the NFL released a statement that she was never given an offer to perform in the first place. With the halftime show performer still up for discussion, Black Twitter is rejoicing at the sight of #KanyeWestForSuperBowl51.
