Kehlani Hits the Nail on the Head With, "Gangsta"

Kehlani mixes up her sensual sound for the single, “Gangsta” that is to be included on the upcoming Suicide Squad soundtrack. Clearly the plot for Suicide Squad includes the bad guys being used for good. Kehlani’s sound is sinister with lyrics that are so bad that it sound good. As she pleads for a gangster to ride or die with her, her voice floats over the EDM beat creating an instant hit. Though this song is for a motion picture, Kehlani has been releasing a plethora of hits in the past couple weeks. Not to mention, performing a lot considering it is prime festival season and all.

Her most recent hits include, “Distraction” and “CRZY” which have been out for a little over two weeks now. On top of releasing new music, she has made appearances as well as performed past hits for crowds of eager fans at Lollapalooza. Needless to say, Kehlani has been busy.

Though Kehlani has been around for a couple years, her popularity is still on the rise. This new single for Suicide Squad can only wake those up who have not yet caught witness to the California native’s sweet voice and unique style. Her ability to adapt and get into certain roles is imperative. Not to mention her eagerness to perform and get involved in today’s culture also really shows. She mentioned on her snap chat,

“I am so excited, I feel blessed to be a part of production”.
