It’s been quite some time since we heard from low profile and mysterious Chattanooga rapper, Isaiah Rashad who is signed to a label with major star power in TDE. The 25-year-old rapper appeared back on the scene again back in January when he dropped a new single in “Smile.” While in September of last year, we were treated to “Nelly,” which were released with visuals. This week, fellow top dawg fans were teased by TDE owner Anthony Tiffith, who sent out a tweet with a date of “09.02.16” which can signal a new project from Zay, or possibly his fellow cohorts may drop a project on that day.

We haven’t heard a full project from Isaiah since his critically acclaimed EP Cilvia Demo’which was released two years ago. The project focused on Rashad’s growth during his younger years where he spits about exercising his demons.
Fast forward to today, we’re treated to “Free Lunch” which is available to stream on Apple Music. Isaiah uses a frequent TDE sound similar to Kendrick on here where he incorporates a fusion of his southern roots, jazz and soul to cook this track. Could this possibly be the track that unleashes the floodgates for us TDE fans on September 2? We are not quite sure but for now Isaiah Rashad wants us to mellow out and enjoy this “Free Lunch.”
