If she’s not dazzling us with her phenomenal acting skills or charming us with her “girl next door” persona, Gabrielle Union is wowing us with her style choices. And now, we can all be as stylish as she is. Union is set to open an exclusive high fashion sneaker store in Miami, Florida. Sexy, high fashion sneakers that will be catered to the ladies only. Sorry, guys! But this one is exclusively for us.
According to Madamenoire, the Being Mary Jane actress is the quintessential tomboy beauty, whom if you’ve really taken notice to her fashion style, loves to rock sneakers as much as she loves fashion. Union won’t be the only one running the business as she’s teamed up with close friend and fellow Miami Heat basketball wife, Faith Rein Haslem to launch a women’s sneaker store.
“Gabrielle Union and I are working on a women’s shoe store. It’s in the very early works and we’re definitely taking baby steps in the planning but it’s definitely a goal. It’s going to be a concept store/women’s sneaker store, but with a fashion angle. It’s not necessarily about having (Nike Air) Jordans per se, it’s going to be more the fashion-y thing. I think nice sneakers are a mainstay at this point.”
And on top of all that, if you think having a high-fashion sneaker made just for us is not the best thing yet, the name that both ladies have come up with is “Borrowed from the Boys.” Absolutely perfect!
“Our goal is to have a nice selection,“Miami is ready for that, I think… I don’t know when this is going to happen, but I’ll keep you updated.” Faith added
Now that Dwayne Wade has committed to playing for the Chicago Bulls, going back to Miami may seem like a long haul for Union but something tells me it won’t be long before these new kicks are on the shelves. First in Miami and then Chicago maybe? Regardless wherever “Borrowed from the Boys” lands, I’m saving up my pennies right now for the first purchase!
Congrats ladies!
