#FrankWhereTheAlbum
Earlier this week, Frank Ocean‘s long anticipated record Boys Don’t Cry was scheduled to be released today, August 5th.
Years and years of waiting has caused plenty Ocean fans to be extremely displeased with how he’s been conducting his publicity, and when Snapchat released filters, pictured below, ahead of the release of the album, it stirred the already emotional fanbase even more in the wrong direction.
2012’s Channel Orange was critically acclaimed by fans and music reviewers alike, so the wait hurts all the more when it’s a commonly held thought that Frank Ocean makes good music. The memes and tweets have rolled in over the years showing just how upset some fans are. Hashtags like “#FrankWhereTheAlbum” have sprouted out of the wait
Perhaps the wait would be a little less dreadful had the R&B singer not disappeared from social media entirely, apart from very sparse rants concerning U.S. politics and tragedies, posted on his Tumblr.
You can purchase Channel Orange on iTunes here. For the sake of Frank’s fans, lets all hope he drops the album today.
