Danny Brown, the energetic Detroit rapper, already gave fans “When It Rain” back in June, a single off his upcoming album Atrocity Exhibition. On August 10th, Brown teased fans yet again with an 18 second clip of a new track entitled “Pneumonia.” The video contains a looped visual of a clear, grassy field with trees in the background, coated with purple flashes in the foreground.

Brown sports a trap flow on this extremely gritty and exotic instrumental- work typical of Danny Brown- and in the background of the vocals, towards the end of the clip, the unmistakable ad-libs of ScHoolboy Q can be heard (mainly a lot of “yeah’s” and “okay’s).
The two have collaborated on Brown’s previous record, Old, in “Dope Fiend Rental,” which features a similar air of tension in the instrumentation and lyrics.
There’s been no official word thus far on an actual release date, but it’s clear to see Brown hasn’t lost his knack for loud, over-the-top music. You can cop Q’s Blank Face LP here, and Brown’s Old here.
