After announcing the show’s season 2 premiere date for September 2 last month, Netflix released the trailer of their popular original series, Narcos Thursday morning.
The hunt for Pablo Escobar, the infamous drug lord and the season’s main character is on. The protagonist (Escobar) begins this season with a fresh escape from the La Catedral prison and is quickly on the run from the Colombian authorities.
Narcos details the real life accounts of drug kingpins from the tail end of the 1980s and the authorities trying to catch them. The series stars Wagner Moura (Elysium) as Escobar, Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl) and Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) as real-life DEA agents Steve Murphy and Javier Peña.
This season shows promises of new chases, more action, and unforeseen plot twists. All ten episodes of the season will be released exclusively on Netflix September 2 12:01 at PST.
