Arizona songstress Haresha is back with her new single, “Cheetah Sounds“, which features frequently collaborators, Flow Simpson and Chief. The Tribe member Wave MMLZ provides the wavy production as Flow, Haresha and Chief trade bars about, “paper chasing” and accomplishing their goals at “cheetah” like speed.
Haresha showcases her signature style in full effect as she seamlessly switches from soothing singer, to “in your face” style lyricism. Though, she and Flow, who’s lethargic southern like drawl to his flow — no pun intended — sounds like the perfect marriage on this beat, shine in their own right, it was Chief’s closing verse that stole the show. Bars like “network through the loops/ and the coups, sippin’ soup/ Ima get it next” highlight his tricky cadence and lyricism and make the track one of the cleanest releases of the year, major or non major.
“This song was actually not previously plotted,” said the 23-year-old artist to RESPECT. Mag through email, “It was spontaneously created in the ‘Wave Cave’, an exclusive location where a lot of our records are brought to life. He sampled some old records and whipped up a crazy beat that was easy for Chief, Flow and myself to vibe to.” The Haresha In The Cut singer also gave some insight into her upcoming project. “This is a single off of my upcoming LP, which will be produced by MMLZ, which is still untitled.”
