Incase you don’t have Apple Music and missed out on last nights OVO SOUND session, we’ll we got you covered. During last nights show– ran by Toronto producer Murda Beatz— he did the honors by opening up the flood gates and unleashing new content for our ears. Migos member, Quavo— who seems to be blossoming his solo career– is steadily heading towards stardom. With features with Kanye West, Travis Scott, Young Thug and others this year, could we possibly be in store for a solo mixtape from the Houdini? The Atlanta Rapper released three new tracks “My Pockets,” “Trapster,” “Cuffed Up.” All three tracks features the classic flow that we’re all used to hearing in a Migos song, with the ad-libs and catchy hooks. Additionally we get a song from the trio with “Show’ll Is.”
“My Pockets” speaks for itself, Quavo boasts about his lifestyle, simply by saying he is more lavish than others, and his cash speaks volumes.
The second song, Quavo raps about turning himself into a Trapstar instead of being a regular artist. Murda Beatz implements a flute on the beat adding a melodic tone which balances with Quavo’s voice.
The third song which Murda teased in March features P3 singer PARTYNEXTDOOR and Quavo. A more romantic, calm, and hitting track for the ladies. PND uses his vocals to remind people that he’s cuffed up with his baby, while Quavo raps about his date with the girl he met. It’s safe to say both are “Cuffed Up” on this track.
PARTYNEXTDOOR who is currently gearing to release his major album P3 on August 12, which already features the upbeat “Not Nice” and soulful “Come and See Me,” unleashed a track with Summer Songs 2 rapper Lil Yachty tilted “Buzzin.”
Murda Beatz had his hands full on all the songs he premiered today.
