It’s Official: Ciara & Russell Wilson Tie the Knot!

So it’s OFFICIAL! Ciara and Russell Wilson have tied the knot in the U.K. – The “Goodies” singer said I DO to her Seattle Seahawks Quarterback, Russell Wilson. According to Eonline the couple said their nuptials today in front of close friends and family at the Peckforton Castles in Cheshire, England. Ciara wore a custom Roberto Cavalli dress, designed by the label’s creative director, Peter Dundas while Russel wore an all Black suit.

Ciara and Russell began dating in April of 2015. In September, Russell stated that he and Ciara decided to remain celibate during their dating period and wait until marriage to get the goodies. Russell stated that God told him that Ciara was his wife:

Ciara was on tour and I was looking at her in the mirror and God spoke to me, he said “I need you to lead her” – I then asked Ciara what would you do if we took all that extra stuff off the table and just did it Jesus’ way?

Ciara has admitted that honoring her vow of celibacy until marriage has not been an easy task, but stated that Russell was being honest about where they were at the time in their relationship. She also stated that there are so many other people just like them in the world.

The couple whom I’m sure wanted to keep the affair private, had a couple of celebrity friends in the mix whom just couldn’t keep their hands off of the camera. JHUD a.k.a Jennifer Hudson– reportedly one of Ciara’s besties– was one of them whom hinted around on her instagram page of her going all the way to the U.K. for some fun. Meanwhile while the couple was on hush mode, Russell couldn’t hold back from expressing his emotions for the couple’s day on his twitter account yesterday.

Someone was able to get a picture of the couple’s attire. News of the couple getting married began surfacing over the weekend. According to nymag it is said that Ciara celebrated her bachelorette party two weeks ago and Kelly Rowland, Serena Williams and La La Anthony were in attendance for a “girls only vacation.”
