Throughout Meek Mill‘s career, he has been known as the tough street rapper coming straight out of Philadelphia. Most of his albums and mixtapes have had heavy violent content. But this will be his last tape that will have lots of violent content.
Over the past two weeks with numerous situations of police brutality resulting in the deaths of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile and several officers at a Black Lives Matter protest in Dallas, Texas, has inspired meek to do something different. “AFTER DC4 I won’t continue to rap about extreme violence!!!” is the caption of one his most recent pictures on Instagram. After the past year Meek has been trying to make a strong comeback after his legal dilemmas and issues with artist Drake. This new direction he’s taken with his music has shown his maturity and growth as person and an artist. I’m almost certain his new message will not leave his fans disappointed.
