It’s been awhile since Tinashe dropped a new single. The last few singles she dropped was her Chris Brown-assisted “Player,” “Party Favors” with Young Thug and “Ride Of Your Life.” Now, the singer is back with her dance floor jam, “Superlove.”
Produced by hitmakers such as The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, the song makes you feel like you’re back in the 90’s. This is the type of track that makes me want to do cliche s**t like hold a brush up to my mouth like it’s a microphone as I dance in front of a mirror – and I don’t care one bit.
Tinashe has always created music that gave you a 90’s feeling. In this song, she professes her “Superlove” to a special someone and she even raps for a part of it. The-Dream provides vocals in the background as Tinashe pours out her feelings with lyrics like “I want you, I want you, I want you to be my baby / settle down, settle down, then give you a baby / put it down, put it down, make me go crazy / I might let you change me.”
Her long-awaited sophomore album “Joyride” has no concrete release date yet, but will feature contributions from Dr. Luke, Hit-Boy, Travis Scott, Dev Hynes, Boi-1da and more.
