If you didn’t know, the DC bred, Wale is a very big fan when it comes to wrestling. He is showing his love for the sport by teaming up with Asics and Villa for a sneaker.
The Wale x Asics x Gel Lyte 3 collab gets its look from the Intercontinental Championship belt. The shoe contains the Asics Gel Lyte silhouette with a metallic gold upper. Also, it has black and bright blue detailing to represent the colors in the WWE championship title belt from the 90s. You can also see the speckles on the mid-sole, the shoe just comes together so creatively.
Wale previously released the “Bottle Rocket” Asics last year, which were very successful. The “IC Champion” is looking like a sell out shoe.
WWE fans should definitely get this pair to go with the rest of their wrestling merchandise. We all know Folarin is the man when it comes to the urban fashion, now he really showed his talents with this one!
The shoe will release on July 21st at select Asics Tiger retail stores, with the retail price of $160.
