Get ready for Marvel’s X-Men to hit television screens everywhere early 2017. FX debuted the first trailer for new series Legion at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. FX Productions and Marvel Television bring Marvel comic character David Haller to television. Downton Abbey’s Dan Steven will play the telepathic mutant, David Haller. Cast members Jean Smart, Aubrey Plaza,Bill Irwin, and Katie Aselton are also featured. The trailer centers on David Haller as he believes to be mentally ill and suffer from some type of disorder. He has a strange encounter with a fellow patient. He believes she did something to him and that they took her. Here’s the trailer debuted at Comic-Con.
In the comics, it is known that David Haller is the son of Profesor Charles Xavier. This popular character is seen in many of the X-Men franchise films. It’s time for fans to brush up on their Marvel knowledge as they prepare to relive the Legion comics on screen.
According to Entertainment Weekly, “X-Men franchise producers Lauren Schuler Donner, Bryan Singer, and Simon Kinberg are aboard the series.” Tune in early 2017 on FX for the premiere of Legion.
