Back in May, Chance the Rapper released his latest mixtape, “Coloring Book”, to rave reviews. Now, months later, thanks to a skilled hacker, a whole new element of the album has been leaked for the listener’s pleasure via a fresh track titled “Living Single.”
Just weeks after its initial release, Chance admitted to collaborating with artists like Big Sean and J.Cole in an interview with Beats 1 Radio’s Zane Lowe. Unfortunately, these tracks had been scrapped from the mixtape, because their respective labels never signed off on the songs. Thankfully for us, one of those collabs has been set free into the world.
In the song, “Living Single”, Chance partners with Big Sean, Jeremih, and Smino for an effortlessly cool track. Produced by Cam O’bi, it features a skillfully sparse arrangement and a chill, lulling melody. It’s a wonder that this song didn’t make the cut.
Chance responded to any allegation that it might have been him who leaked the single via twitter.
I didn’t release a new song, one of my songs were leaked. Idk how to explain to you how that feels, but I doesn’t feel good.

It’s certainly clear that the celebrated artist isn’t too pleased with this unauthorized new material, but he might be alone on that one. “Living Single” is the perfect addition to an already excellent mixtape.
