This past weekend was the 2nd annual STEEZ Day festival which was held in Los Angeles, CA. According to LA Weekly, due to a “radius clause” Joey Bada$$ & A$AP Mob had with Governors Ball Music Festival, this prevented them from playing and having the festival in New York.
Ab-Soul had a set at the festival where he was able to drop a couple bars simultaneously taking shots at Jay Electronica. “I was like a swami to Jay Electronica until he figured that Kendrick wouldn’t admit that he would body him for a milly”, this would be the line where Soul expresses how he feels toward Electronica.
I guess he took these shots at Electronica for the diss he made earlier this year at Kendrick and 50 Cent. Even though he apologized Soul seems as if the apology didn’t resonate.
Yes this does not appear to be a major blow however it does send a message that Kendrick is a more preferable rapper compared to Electronica.
Not sure if this will cause Electronica to put out a response record, either way we’re here for it!
