It’s that time of year again to cast your vote for your favorite artist/nominee! The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards will air live next month.
The nominees were revealed live Tuesday, July 26 on MTV’S Facebook Page. The award show will air live at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday August 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. To help with the nominees, MTV listed the help of 6 of New York’s best street artists to paint a panoramic mural of “Video of The Year.” It can be seen down in the East Village inside First Street Green Art Park.
Beyoncé‘s “Formation”, Drake‘s “Hotline Bling,” Adele‘s “Hello,“ Justin Beiber‘s “Sorry” and finally Kanye West‘s “Famous” videos are up for “Video of the Year.” Beyoncé leads the nominees with 11 award nominations due to her cutting-edge HBO special Lemonade. It is the most nominations she has ever received in a single year! Adele comes in second with 8 nominations due to her “Hello” visual. Other artists nominated in this year’s show include Rihanna, Calvin Harris, Ariana Grande and more.
For a full list of nominees and their respective categories you can visit MTV News. Don’t forget to cast your vote online and tune in on Sunday, August 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
