The UK grime scene has definitely become something to keep a close eye on since Drake has drawn attention to with his well publicized friendship with London MC Skepta and his crew Boy Better Know.
Double S is one of the promising talents who is making a name for himself in grime with his new track “Styles and Flows.” Teaming up with Skepta’s brother JME and with production from The Heavytrackerz, Double S recently dropped the visuals for his new track. The video sees the rapper walking through the streets of Tottenham, his hometown.
From his new track, Double S’ talent is obvious as he entertains us with his effortless flow and his storytelling style. The MC is not exactly new to grime. He was a part of one of the original collectives in grime, The Shoddy Crew which included artist Chip who you may remember joined forces with Chris Brown back in 2011 for his single “Champion.”
The rapper has been grabbing attention with “Styles and Flow” in the UK gaining a radio play across the major stations and is being tipped as the next hottest thing in grime music. On the track, Double S is also heard comparing himself to a young Jay-Z:
‘Ayy, ayy, I’m a young Jay Hova/I make gyal move up their body like soca/The flow’s fire, I should stop, drop, roll over/N***a, hold your corner.’
