Watching the young Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham expand on his acting and rapping is intriguing to say the least. Most know Drake was not a rookie to the show biz industry considering his fame on Degrassi as a teen star for seven years. It is clear that Drake is still not shy about his acting skills considering his appearances on Saturday Night Live. However, many would assume that the Views rapper or any rapper was simply stumbled upon. This video is proof that Drake has worked on his talents for some time to perfect his craft.
The short clip includes Drake and one other young actress on the stage reacting to ridiculous scene suggestions and simply adjusting to them at the drop of a hat. He rolls with the punches in their scene in what seems to be a gym as his emotions are tugged between being a ladies man and then to freely admitting he is not much of a ladies man with great ease. The end of the clip is really the climax as he is told to sing a country western song. With his quirky youth, I couldn’t help but smile as he rhymed along to the banjo in the background. (Maybe we’ll get a little country mix after his reggae phase is over?! )
Drake is truly a character, but watching it unfold feels like being a fly on the wall of his journey to success. Though the short clip is quite hilarious and even a tad bit embarrassing, one can clearly see the talent that Drake exudes now, in a tinier body. A sense of humor?! the ability to act and sing?! and not to mention rap?! Now its even clearer why he’s having a hard time finding love!
