Wale Drops New Mixtape ‘Summer on Sunset’

Is there possibly any way you can stop this man? The self proclaimed MMG rapper Seinfeld die-hard, wrestling fan, and DC native, is wheeling and dealing, dropping another sizzling teaser earlier today after releasing club banger, “My P.Y.T.,” “Her Wave” and “Reminisce.” Teasing fans with snippets on his Snapchat, the 31-year-old has done it all this week, after performing his smash single with help from The Roots this past Wednesday night on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The DC artist is on a tear with his soulful track “Back to the Sun” where Wale lays his words on a jazzy instrumental beat for less than two minutes.

Wale also treated fans to his new mixtape Summer on Sunset with 17 tracks to vibe out to, with features from Raheem DeVaughn, Ty$, Joe Moses, Tha Dog Pound, Cam’ron, Phil Ade, Jazz Cartier, Victoria Monet, Jim Ross, and Eric Bellinger. This marks Wale’s 10th mixtape that he’ll drop; the last one being his collaboration project with A-Trak in 2014 tilted Festivus.

Well, it seems that Wale is switching gears from Festivus to Summer anthems, this season. Summer on Sunset will serve as an appetizer as Wale is gearing to drop his 5th studio album this year titled S.H.I.N.E. while also slating to be apart of his label’s Self Made Vol. 4 album.
