Members Dante and Drew, collectively known as the Los Angeles duo THEY. have been making noise under the radar, with their genre-bending songs that flawlessly merge together the sounds of Rock and Hip-Hop. Their breakout single, “Bad Habits” — from their 2015 EP, Nu Religion — got the attention of a few, but it was their recent tour with Bryson Tiller that opened people’s eyes to the fact that these guys are actually legit.
Now the pair is gearing up for the release of their full length debut, HYENA, and to get listeners ready, they serve up a brand new joint, for “Say When”. The guitar-heavy tune bleeds with anarchy, addressing police brutality, a flawed government and the idea of unifying against it all.
“Y’all shoot at my brothers and let ’em fall/And then we some thugs if we get involved/Fu*k you and yo’ system/You killin’ my n*ggas/And you think we ’bout to just let you off?”
Press play on “Say When”, as it is sure to charge you up, but try not to hurt anyone or destroy things in the process.
In addition to the upcoming release of HYENA, you can also catch THEY. on a soft tour, beginning June 28th.
