Rihanna and Calvin Harris join forces once again to drop the long-awaited video to “This Is What You Came For,” which premiered late Thursday night.
The video, directed by Emil Nava, stars Rihanna dancing inside of a green screen box projected with vibrant images joined by laser beams that resemble the lightning in the single’s cover art and pay homage to Harris’ EDM background.
The song was debuted at Coachella during Harris’s set when he surprised the audience by inviting Rihanna onstage to perform.
Harris hasn’t announced a new album but said that he would release eight singles this year to make up for only releasing “How Deep Is Your Love” with Disciples in 2015.
“This Is What You Came For” is the duo’s first collaboration in five years since “We Found Love” and “Where Have You Been” reaching No.1 and No.5, respectively, on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
