As one of the newest and youngest rappers out of Jamaica, Queens, Dubb Da Don is ready to set the Summer off with his new video. Known for participating in neighborhood rap battles, Dubb eventually released his first mixtape – an entire diss project – at age 16. Now, 23 years old, he is eager to spotlight his progress as an artist through his latest work. To kick the Summer off, Dubb has released the official video for his single, “Chase The Bag.” While many only claim the “trap” life just to portray an image, Dubb maintains his authenticity on every record.
The rapper born Devante Heyward grew up with the absence of his father and eventually faced the loss of his mother. Dubb’s grandmother took him and siblings in and created a firm foundation, becoming the backbone of the family. Growing up in the Northside of Jamaica Queens, made getting into trouble accessible. However, Dubb grew an interest for sports and eventually, Hip Hop.. At first, it was only neighborhood freestyle battles, but eventually he did an entire diss mixtape. After creating his first piece of music at 16, the process of the project and feedback he received fueled his passion.
