The grind doesn’t stop for Oakland artist G-Eazy who just kicked off the Endless Summer Tour with Logic, YG, and Yo Gotti. The rapper dropped his successful sophomore album When It’s Dark Out last December, and went onto selling out arenas worldwide in support of the album. He later made his acting debut in the short film Tunnel Vision. There is no quit in Young Gerald, as he recently launched a track with Jeremih in support of the new Ghostbusters soundtrack.
He’s now unleashed two new tracks with help from Quavo and Playne James. “In The Meantime” features Migos rapper Quavo, who is on a roll with his solo features. The joint is produced by Los Angeles hitmaker DJ Mustard, where Gerald spits about the luxurious party life that he currently lives in, while Quavo talks about the party not starting until the two walk in. The second track, “So Much Better,” produced by Tyshane, 8×8, and Street Symphony, is a personal track where G pens about the two different routes him and his ex-girlfriend Devon Baldwin took. Playne James is on the chorus singing about their former love life, comparing the two and how they both went different ways. Devon, who is also a singer is now living a normal life instead of labelling herself as a rich person. Meanwhile, Eazy is soaking the fame all in, and sending out a message that this is “So Much Better”.
