As the lyrics of LL Cool J‘s 1990 hit goes – “Mama said knock you out/I’m gonna knock you out” – It looks like that’s what Ms. Veronica Clinton “Chinx’s” mother wants to do to French Montana and P.Diddy. Due to the untimely death of her son, fellow Coke Boys rapper Lionel “Chinx” Pickens— whom was shot and killed May of last year in Queens, NY– Clinton has had major beef with both rappers.
French Montana visited the Wendy Williams Show yesterday to put the rumors to rest on what Ms. Clinton seems to be fueling over. Montana stated that he never spoke to Chinx’s mom and never had a relationship with her. He stated that they may have conversed once but that was it.
Ms. Clinton made reference during an interview with Lisa Evers of GOTT THOZZ TV that she approached Montana at the funeral of her son and asked him “Why did they do that to her child?” She stated that French Montana told her that Chinx didn’t listen, she then told French Montana that he wasn’t Chinx’s father but that she was his mother. Afterwards according to Clinton the conversation fell silent and nothing else was said. But according to Montana he stated that he told Ms. Clinton that he tried to warn Chinx about staying out of the streets and to not be driving around at 4 a.m. in the morning by himself or with other people; insinuating that Chinx didn’t necessarily abide by the rules given.
“I never made a dollar off him. All the money he made, I told him ‘go take care of your family.'” Montana stated that Chinx had his own house and car and was taking care of his family. “I think I did my job,”If I tell you what to do and you don’t want to listen to me then… you know?” – French Montana
Despite those comments, Ms. Clinton still feels she deserves an explanation from both parties. She claims neither have not spoken to her during the funeral nor a year after his death.
“P. Diddy and French Montana need to come out and see me,” – Ms. Veronica Clinton
What do yo think about this? Do you think French or Diddy owe Chinx’s mom an explanation? Do you feel Chinx was a grown man and should have listened to the directions of his fellow peers? Do you think he would still be alive today if he had? Sound off in the comments.
And in the meantime you can watch the video of French Montana telling his side of the story.
