On Sunday (June 19), the NBA Eastern Conference team, Cleveland Cavaliers made history as they took the team out of a 52 year championship drought. Not only did they make history for Cleveland bu they made it for the NBA itself, being the only team to come back from a 3-1 deficit in the finals. Kyrie Irving hit the game winning three right in front of Steph Curry’s face to break the tie and Irving said his “Mamba Mentality” was locked in. Also, the Finals MVP who came home to get a ring for his City, Lebron James made history being the only to player to ever lead in all categories in an entire playoff series. The final score of Game 7 was 93-89, what a feeling for the city of Cleveland and the Cavaliers.
Today, fans gather in Cleveland for the big parade as they celebrate the city having the title as the NBA Champions. Many camped out Tuesday night for the celebration and now tons are out there showing love to the team. King James promised a ring for the Land and he made it happen, now they are out celebrating harder than in 1964. The streets are going crazy as the team and their loved one come down the street, joining the party. It’s a great day as the Cavs got a ring for the Land.
Also, according to Cleveland.com the Cleveland Municipal Court granted passes to defendants and other parties who had court dates on Wednesday to go and celebrate at the parade instead, lucky day for you all!
Fans literally coming of the side walks into the streets of the parade because of the huge amount of fans and people. Sources have said it’s looking like more than 1 million people out and apart of the celebration right now! Much love to Cleveland. Enjoy that win for the Land!
