Braxton Family Values: Season 5 Episode 5 ‘Oh You Tried It!’ [Weekly Recap]

It’s Braxton night at Bar Chix, which means one or two sisters show up and take pictures with fans. Tamar Braxton is late so Towanda Braxton and Trina Braxton start the party without her. The two are excited about the premiere of Un-break My Heart in LA. Trina is nervous and Towanda was Associate Producer of the film. Tamar’s face is dusted and body is snatched and the crowd was there for it as she walks in. Tamar asks Trina how is the ‘boyfriend’? Trina is not sure and wants to take her time. Towanda has been holding back telling Trina how she feels sparing her sensitivity. Tamar doesn’t want her moving too fast, but ‘love’ and a couple of things that will solidify your relationship – bread, butter, and milk. The sisters break out in one of their classic created Trina-inspired acapellas.

Toni Braxton and Tamar are in Atlanta and driving back to the hotel and although Tamar has a better sense of direction than Toni she has so much road rage. The two wonder why Towanda is spending so much time in LA and they don’t see her. Must be something huge for her to leave her husband aka daddy and her kids. Toni calls Trina and she does not know and questions a man or something? Trina admits she will be out there soon with her. Maybe she will diggy up the reason why.

Trina stops by to see Traci Braxton in Maryland and to bring her reading material. In separation from Sarrett, her husband, Traci doesn’t want him to touch or rub her because she is not supposed to do the booty. A speedy recovery is around the corner for Traci and she will be in LA for the premiere. Traci has another happy moment and Trina is side-eyed. She doesn’t want it to go away yet until she starts getting the nookie nookie from her honey cookie. Trina wants Eric, her son, to have his own space and tells Traci she is in counselling.

In LA, Trina is with Towanda a day earlier and she doesn’t know why. Trina is asked to keep the secret too. Trina is less opinionated and not judgmental so she opens up to her and shares the crème de la crème.

It’s the night of the Un-break My Heart premiere and the sisters aren’t there yet, but Toni is anxious in anticipation for them to see the film. Toni is about to make her speech and they’ve arrived to relieve the journey.

After the movie the bunch went to dinner and Toni invited the cast the played the sisters. Tiffany aka Tamar introduces herself as Tamar and she tried it. She says she spent hours studying her. It becomes the battle of the Tamars. She asked Vincent Herbert a question and that was a no no!

Trina visits her counselor in LA and breaks down the insignificance that her sisters make her feel. She wants her passive aggressiveness to pass. Relax, relate, release is the key.
