Barney the Dinosaur Raps Notorious B.I.G.’s "Big Poppa"

If you have seen this recent video of Barney rapping the classic single “Big Poppa” by Notorious B.I.G., then I’m sure it brought much joy to your heart. To see your favorite childhood characters Barney and PJ take a step back into the 90’s playing Puff Daddy and B.I.G. is truly special. To see the culture mesh is always a beautiful thing and this just also happened to be funny as well.

From Barney’s movements and hand motions, to the vintage fisherman hat Barney was sporting during the video, it was all just great to watch. The creator of this video, Adam Schleichkorn is no stranger to meshing videos. In fact this wasn’t Barney’s first time portraying B.I.G. Before this mashed video, he mashed a Barney video with another B.I.G. classic “Get Money.“ He was trying to portray that Barney was grinding to make a living just like everybody else.

Discussing this video, Scheichkorn said “This song has been on my list for a long time, and I just fell like Barney as Biggie totally fits. Not only is this one of the best rap songs of all time, but it comes from the best rap album of all time, Ready to Die.” It’s obvious that, after watching this video, you will always put Barney and this song together, it fits so well; it seems that this is the real music video for “Big Poppa.” With “I love…” being the first couple of lyrics in Barneys world renowned “I love You” song and the first couple of lyrics of “Big Poppa” it makes this video even more realistic.
