This deal will be under Juvee Productions, which is the company of Davis and her husband, Julius Tennon. They will develop projects for cable, broadcast streaming and digital platforms.
The company has also brought in Andrew Wang to serve as Head of Television Development and Production.
Wang was Vice President of scripted television development and production at Bravo. He was there four years, launching scripted series such as My So Called Wife, Odd Mom Out and Girlfriends Guide to Divorce.
“We started Juvee because we wanted to see narratives that reflected our multi-ethnic and multifaceted culture,” Davis said in a statement. “We wanted to be a part of classic storytelling, and we didn’t want to wait.”
Currently Juvee Production’s development slate involves TNT’s Conviction.
Excited to see what the Shondaland star has in store with Juvee!
