Earlier today, Kanye West let off a tweet that simply said “.@ScHoolBoyQ GET TOP DAWG ON THE PHONE !” and from there, it was safe to say that we knew something was coming, we just didn’t know what to expect or when to expect it.
Well, that’s all over now.
Not too long ago, ScHoolboy Q of the TDE camp unloaded his brand new single, “THat Part”, featuring none other than Yeezy. I would say this collaboration is an unlikely and even unexpected one, but then again, do you really think Kanye did all that work with Kendrick Lamar, without also linking up with Q? I definitely don’t. For all we know, there could be a vault filled with Kanye and TDE collaborations, and who would object to that?
For now, though, we get “THat Part” which is indubitably a banger, as ScHoolboy comes through with his signature flow and Kanye delivers a verse filled with completely outlandish quotables like, “I just left the strip club, got some glitter on me/Wifey gonna kill me, she the female OJ!” and “Beggars can’t be choosers/B*tch this ain’t Chipotle!”
Unlikely collab or not, ScHoolboy Q and Kanye West on a record is a smash. Since this joint is for sale, stream it, then cop it here and be on the lookout for Q’s upcoming sophomore album which he says is done and ready to go.
