No matter your lot in life, you can no doubt relate to the concept of wanting to escape the bullshit, the noise, and the pain that we all face at different points in our lives. And just like you, Brooklyn rapper and entrepreneur, IDE can definitely relate. His new single, “Flight Patterns,” is an anthem for anyone who lifts their heads above the muck and mire and sighs to themselves while thinking, “Some days I just want to fly away…”.
Beyond its personal, easily relatable lyrics, the track represents a fully mounted comeback for the Brooklynite. Over the past six years or so, he’s put his own music to the side to work on other projects, namely his indie label, Creative Juices Music. Just like anyone who’s creative, however, he couldn’t leave his artistry behind. That’s when IDE began working on his comeback album, Breathe Easy, which serves as his fourth solo effort and his first effort completely void of guest features. It’s that latter element that makes the entire record so personal and powerful, as it provides a stirring snapshot of an artist’s life through only his lens. His message is amplified by the production talents of Lucky Loopiano, a new beatmaker and a gifted musician, respectively. And you’ll no doubt hear their, and IDE’s, talents on “Flight Patterns,” which you can stream below.
IDE’s Breathe Easy is available now via Creative Juices Music and through all major digital retailers. Stream “Flight Patterns” below, and press play on the album sampler before heading on over to iTunes to support!
