Anytime Steve Spiffler hits me up with new music, I get hella excited and for three reasons:
- He is hilarious
- He always keeps it real
- And his music bangs
Granted, not everyone may be familiar with Spiffler but that doesn’t stop the Cali rapper from constantly creating new music. And yet again, Spiffler has a new track for listeners to check out!
The newest single, “Chasing Money,” is off of Spiffler’s upcoming project, Skitzo Steven, which is due out the week of May 15th. The Heisman-produced track pays ode to an old track (“Ghetto”) from Nas that states: “You lose money chasing women/Never lose, women chasing money.”
You can hear Spiffler rapping:
“Lately I’ve been grinding, handling business/I can’t let nothing take that away from me/Now you can lose some money chasing b****es/But you can’t lose no b****es chasing money.”
Feekee jumps on the second verse and raps:
“I’m so money and I don’t even know it/Why do swingers toss these singles at these b****es/It’s an omen/No more strip clubs/No more chilling with them cronies/Trying to a make a million with these muthaf***in phonies.”
“Chasing Money” –refreshingly honest– is the first of many to come off of Spiffler’s Skitzo Steven. The project is hosted by DJ Wally Sparks and definitely one you’ll want to pick up when it drops!
Take a listen to “Chasing Money” above and tell us what you think of the new track. We’ll keep you guys up to date on the upcoming release of Skitzo Steven.
Enjoy!
