No Malice dropped a visual for his new song “Best Believe It” featuring MD Uno and it’s exactly what we’ve been waiting for. Before the music comes in the video starts with a monologue where No Malice warns, “Knock, knock. It was the devil and he was comin’ for his stuff back.” The hook let’s you know that he is not just out here preaching. MD Uno shows repentance in his rhymes as they too are about the everyday struggle whether you’re religious or not. The black and white video has a gritty feel to it as it flashes between strobe shots of No Malice to the two rappers in front of an abandoned building.
“Best Believe It” represents that struggle between earthly desires and moral righteousness from No Malice’s perspective. Just listen to any Clipse song and you’ll understand that perspective. This is coming from a man that helped coin the term coke rap.
Although there is no sign of a Clipse reunion, No Malice, proves that he will not slow down with the timeless gems while still incorporating the same intensity of hits, such as “I’m Not You.” The never lacking ability he shows with the cerebral display of talent over a “Trap Beat” on the track “Best Believe It” lets you know that No Malice is still making music to ride to while delivering the word of God his way.
