Nas has finally given us a peak into the new skateboard film, The Land, that he’ll executively produce. The film is directed by Steven Caple Jr. The trailer released today shows it will be starring Erykah Badu and Machine Gun Kelly. Not only will they be starring in the film but also dropping music along with artists such as Pusha T, Kanye West, Jeremih, French Montana and more.
The Land tells the story of four teenage boys who devote their summer to escaping the streets of Cleveland, Ohio to pursue a dream life of professional skateboarding. But when they get caught in the web of the local Queen-pin, their motley brotherhood is tested, threatening to make this summer their last.
The film will include Michael Kenneth Williams from The Wire, and Natalie Martinez from Death Race. The cast also includes relative newcomers Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Moises Arias, Rafi Gavron and Ezri Walker playing the four teenagers.
