If you haven’t yet made yourself familiar Kevin Celestin aka Kaytranada, it’s pretty safe to say you have been living under the world’s biggest rock. In addition to consistently dropping bangers of his own, setting Soundcloud ablaze, the Montreal producer has remixed some of our favorite songs from the likes of Janet Jackson, Lucy Pearl, A Tribe Called Quest and many, many more. Kaytranada’s fusing together of various genres like Soul, House and Hip-Hop have gained him such a buzz that it might be hard for one to believe that this guy is just now releasing his debut album.
Well he is. And it is simply titled 99.9%.
Rounding up some of the hottest upcoming acts in music, to accompany his funky instrumentation — like GoldLink, Anderson .Paak, and Syd the Kyd (of The Internet) — Kaytranada throws quite the coming out party, as 99.9% features fifteen joints, packed with vibes on top of vibes.
