Yeezy! Yeezy! Yeezy! That boy up to something!
It appears that Mr. West will be hitting the road this fall to tour in effort to support his seventh studio album The Life Of Pablo. Kanye phoned into the Steve Harvey Morning Show (Tuesday May 3rd) for tour talk.
In an interview 20 minutes long, Kanye let the cat out the bag that a tour is in the works. “My tour game is strong,” said the “Famous” rapper. “My tour game is unprecedented. We’re gonna go out in September, I believe. We’re working on the ideas now. I’m trying to inspire these kids the way Disney inspired me, the way I saw the original ‘Star Wars.’ Everybody know, they know, the people that run Hollywood know. They know what it is!”
This tour will be his first time back out on the road since his 2013 Yeezus, that produced 53 shows. Kanye’s The Life Of Pablo was released February 14th exclusively on Tidal without any other streaming services or physical copies. Two months later the album hit additional streaming outlets. Billboard reported that 70 percent of his 94,000 units of TLOP moved came solely from streaming, as the remaining of totaled 28,000 in actually sales.
In addition to his Steve Harvey interview, West also discussed in detail the possible reason for his public rants. Contributing it to him being homeschooled for a year while living in China with his mother. That’s where and when he realized upon returning he was getting higher grades, because he was far more advanced. He said he wants everyone to meet their full potential: “That let me know I had been being taught at a level that I wasn’t reaching my full potential, I wasn’t thinking to my maximum potential. That’s kind of been the story ever since, anytime y’all ever heard me scream or jump up and down it was because I wanted to bring people something to a higher potential than what the powers that control the money, the image, media and perception wanted me to.”
Will you be seeing the tour when it comes to your town?
