Justin Timberlake has been a big name in music for decades now. From his start as a boy band lead, to his infamous relationships, movies, Super Bowl scandals, and his solo career as an artist, he has impacted the lives of millions through his catchy melodies and rhythmic dance anthems. He is one of few musicians who has been able to transcend genre, culture, and age demographics; always providing content that all people seem to enjoy.
I remember going to Walmart early in the morning to grab his first solo effort of 2013, The 20/20 Experience because of how excited I was to hear new music from the R&B sensation. The album had some great moments and a very feel good vibe, but I have not found myself returning to it. I think those songs were great for a moment in time but I am looking forward to seeing if Mr. Timberlake will put out a piece of work that will leave an impact as lasting as his first two solo albums. “Justin Timberlake and then I rock your bodyyyyyy.”
His recent single is jazzy, upbeat and dance worthy. “Can’t Stop The Feeling” is a song that can be enjoyed by your younger brother, and your mother simultaneously. He has a rare ability to unite generations, races, cultures and people through song and his newest effort is no different. Whether or not this song will be on his upcoming album is yet to be confirmed, but I have a feeling that it may appear as a bonus track. It will appear in the upcoming Dreamworks film, Trolls. The song can be listened to here.
On Friday JT announced that he will definitely be putting out a new album. Although details about what this album will consist of are hazy to non-existent, I can say that as a fan of JT I am very excited, and I can probably guarantee that I am not alone.
