It’s been a long time coming, but in this case, it’s been well worth the wait. Houston rapper, Hefe Wine’s single “Pop My Trunk” is finally getting the recognition from the mainstream that all artists hope for thanks to the virality of Queen Bey, a fellow H-Town native. Known to pay respects to her hometown, Beyoncé has infused “Pop My Trunk” into a dance medley on her Formation Tour, giving the 2006 single a resurgence of life. To mark the monumental co-sign, Hefe Wine has decided to serve up a brand new visual for the ode to all things slow, loud, and bangin’.
Pop My Trunk’ is a true testimony of how great hits are made. Producers and artists don’t have the power to choose what becomes a hit song, the people do. I just want to say thanks to Beyoncé for blessing my song.
