Janet Jackson has some exciting news. The singer is reportedly pregnant with her first child two weeks ahead of her 50th birthday.
The news has come from American TV show Entertainment Tonight. To add more fuel to the claim, Jackson announced the music video to her new track, “Dammn Baby” earlier today on social media. The song is her third release from her Unbreakable album which dropped in October 2015. The visuals show the singer in a black latex outfit, flaunting her impressive dance moves.
Just weeks ago, the “Rhythm Nation” star announced that she would be postponing her Unbreakable World Tour in an effort to start a family with husband, Wissam Al Mana. Jackson took to her Facebook page to break the news to her fans.
In 2010, the entertainer spoke to Daily Mail about her thoughts on starting a family. Jackson said, “I’m not panicking. It would be very, very sweet if I did have children. The icing on the cake. And I like sweet things. But it doesn’t feel essential.” In recent months rumors have been flying around on whether the star has been pregnant or not since she decided to delay her world tour. Jackson has always chosen to keep her personal life private. News of her marriage to Al Mana in 2012 was not made public until the following year.
Jackson’s expectancy is yet to be confirmed by her camp. However, the congratulations messages are already pouring in from fellow artists and celebrities. Missy Elliott took to Twitter to express her happiness at Jackson’s and Al Mani’s news.
