A year ago from yesterday, Donnie Trumpet and The Social Experiment dropped their highly appreciated album, Surf. To celebrate the anniversary, Trumpet posted the track, “The First Time,” on SoundCloud. The track features Chance the Rapper along with Ady Suleiman, J.P. Floyd, Dustin Green, and Cam Obi.
The 11-minute track is a condensed compilation and the description of it states the following:
“This is a collection of unused Surf pieces. An ode to the era. Thank you to everyone who’s still listening and growing with the music.”
The track has a smooth flow to it and all the artists on the track mesh extremely well on it. Take a listen to “The First Time” above and tell us what you think of the track. Hopefully this means Donnie Trumpet and The Social Experiment will be dropping another project soon.
