If you have wondered where has Ameriie been, like where is Waldo? Well, we’ve got an answer. She has been creating a lot of material including an anthology, a SI-FI trilogy, and a new EP titled Drive that is dropping this Friday. After releasing records like, “Out Loud,” a while back, we can finally expect new music and also she dropped another gem that she is also anticipating releasing yet another EP in July. Hopefully we can expect an album of great instrumentation and sound soon from the self-proclaimed geek. Ameriie dropped her last album, Love & War back in 2009; been a bit!
With an English degree under her belt, Ameriie talks how she was inspired to create a YouTube channel despite being private. She reads so many books–50 to 60 a year–and no one to really talk about all those books with for fun so she created her YouTube channel, Books Beauty Ameriie, to discuss all those books. She is also publishing her villain themed anthology, Because You Love to Hate Me, with Bloomsbury, the same publisher of Harry Potter. The anthology is expected to be a compilation of best-selling authors worked into one. She suggested Charlamagne Tha God should even write a forward for the book when she stopped by Power 105’s The Breakfast Club.
The Breakfast Club had the privilege to catch up with the singer this morning on what has she been up to besides her YouTube channel. Ameriie mentioned we can expect a new sound with this project. She also speaks on how she met her husband and his involvement on “1 Thing,“ sexism, her disappearance, Jay-Z, the label, body images and so much more.
