Sauga City’s Silli Returns With ‘Shoulda Known’

Born in Montreal, Canada, but now Mississauga based, recording artist, Silli is putting on for his suburban city. Sound familiar? “Sauga City” is also where Drake‘s smooth-crooning protege, PARTYNEXTDOOR hails from.

Anyway, fellow Sauga City artist, Silli is back with a new track, going on an old school-style beat. He mixes in a hint of Bengali-style rap in this catchy new single, titled “Shoulda Known,” and produced by Mikhail, a fellow Sauga City repper, who has gained clout in his hometown. Mikhail has earned a spot on Aux TV’s list of 21 Producers and MCs from Mississauga & Brampton, alongside the likes of Jay Z-used hit producer, WondaGurl, Tory Lanez and of course, PARTYNEXTDOOR.

The new single doesn’t really compare to the typical tracks we’ve heard from Silli in the past. Touching on relationships, life lessons and regrets from the past, Silli reminds himself to know better in the future, hence the retrospective title, “Shoulda Known.”

Silli is currently working towards his EP which will also have production from Mikhail amongst others from Mississauga. Silli looks forward to releasing his EP, expected to drop in the late summer. Look out for the new tape, which will also feature artists and rappers from Sauga City.
