It has been reported by Complex, that the Purple Reign singer, Prince, has passed away at the age of 57. According to TMZ, he was found in his Minnesota home around 9:30am by the police after they were called due to an emergency.
AP has also confirmed the superstar’s death:

Prince’s rep has released a statement:
“It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57. There are no further details as to the cause of death at this time.”
If you all can recall, last week Prince was hospitalized after his plane made an emergency landing. The landing was made in Illinois after his show in Atlanta. His rep released a statement stating that he was battling with the flu, according to TMZ. It is unsure if this is related to his death.
