G4, real name Glen Parker, crafted his name in hopes to create performances and conceptual artwork that provide comfort yet a vivid design similar to a gulf stream jet. In search for new methods that differ from his last single “Sky’s The Limit,” the Youngstown Ohio rapper considers making music a form of art. He plans to always execute, using clear formal guidelines but staying true to the streets and always following the G-Code that he was raised upon. He was raised in a single-parent home by his mother, who taught him morals with biblical principles. With his older brother, Super Sport, incarcerated and his mother always working, G4 took the streets of the Sharon Line at the young age of 8. Then, he was exposed to the life of drugs and crime, which he express through his music. G4’s songwriting comes from his ability to use past experiences as a platform to hurl lyrics from his mind into the mic, to create the emotion and vibes of the songs he creates. His bodies of work are often aimed to connect with higher elements such as energy, flow, and delivery to paint a link between the landscape’s of reality and the listener’s imagination.
Not only does G4 pride in mastering of his final product, but also on how he performs and brings the music to life. His performances have become known for their perfected finish and tactile nature, similar to the craftsmanship of a G400 Jet, which G4 vividly wants to portray. Fresh off the release of his Money Is The Motive album, the Diamond Mill Records emcee now serves up a new visual off the project. He linked up with Viesta and Super Sport, to shoot the official video to their album cut “Ain’t Gonna Do Sh*t.” Production handled by Youngbino On Da Beat and the film directed by Sean Lott.
