Young Thug uses his superstar status to show support of the recent victims affected by Houston floods with a new song and and music video titled “Texas Love.”
Now, if you’re looking for a “We Are The World” steeze you will not exactly find that in this song. The Ricky Racks-produced track does not touch on the recent weather disaster exactly (although, Thug does show love to the state by rapping “If Texas, Texas, Texas was a drug” on the hook) but, the visuals showcase weather reports as well as actual footage of the latest natural disaster. Houston’s own Trae The Truth even makes a cameo.
Earlier this month, the Houston, Texas floods took seven lives and caused $5 million worth of damages, flooding over thousands of homes.
“Our hearts goes out to all of the loved ones that were lost and troubled during this terrible tragedy.”
Thugga says of the video, in which he co-directed with his in-house music video director Be EL Be.
The Atlanta rapper shows no sign of slowing down. Next up for Thugga is his Hy!£UN35 Tour, which kicks off in Philadelphia on May 1, as well as a new mixtape called I Came From Nothing 4.
