The Laker Legend, Kobe Bryant played his final professional game. Mamba Day (April 13th) was a celebration like no other. And is there any other way to send off a great, without theme music and a star-studded guest list. As many gathered to fill the stadium for Kobe’s farewell game with the Lakers, rapper, Fabolous decided to salute the great basketball player with a series of Instagram photo posts and a freestyle honoring him.
“I talked with him twice at the games/Once at the ‘Trade It All’ video, I’d say we had a nice lil’ exchange of words / He said, ‘You gotta come and spice up the game’ / Say word? / Kobe giving me advice is insane, absurd.”
Fab Sampled the Jay-Z’s fan favorite song “Encore,” from Jay’s Black Album. Fab spit his signature infamous witty flow on the track titled “Black Mamba (freestyle.)” Over the Kanye West produced track you hear Young OG reflect on a conversation he and Kobe once had on his “Trade It All” video shoot.
